1.Xbox, Xbox ONE,Xbox 360,PS3(not PS3 Slim), Blueray DVD, Wii U: HDMI input, you need to add HDMI Splitter for HDCP decoding for recording
2.PS4: if not with the HDMI Splitter, need to disable HDCP option. Go settings–System disable “Enable HDCP” option.
3.Mic port for an external microphone and record voice comments when playing games. This only works with YPbPr input. In other words,if the video source is HDMI input, it cannot record voice with microphone.

Works as advertised. Records my Nintendo Switch Gameplay

cheap and gets the job done. its simple and easy, it hooked up perfect with my nintendo switch! as some have said, it only records about 15 minutes at a time, then it creates a new file for the next 15 minutes and so on. I tried to record the video to my external hard drive but that did not work; i did some googling and found that this works best with a 32gb flashdrive so i picked one up for a bit over 10$ and it works like a charm.

AGPtek HD Capture Card Review

This is one of the best capture card for gamer’s. For those who wish to start off slow and is a beginner, you should check out this capture card, it can record up to 720p and 1080p, which is very good quality, you dont want your videos to come pout blurry do you? Also if you ever end up getting this capture card, dont freak out when it doesn’t start recording. It is pretty self explanatory of how it works press the record button to record and press it again to stop recording and just wait a few seconds. No you dont need to connect this capture card to a PC see, although you will need a PC after you finish recording that way you can see the footage that you have captured. You need need a flash drive, and also to make this easy for you guys, you will have to create a folder on that USB drive so that way you can save your footage and etc. Any questions so far, either comment on here or you can email me at

This has worked well. I wanted to record the screen when I do product demos, without having to run extra software on the laptop. This does it perfectly. The compression is remarkable when used for standard screen capture. Sharp. The sound is very clear as well. The operation is simple and clear. In the ~2 weeks I have had it, I am starting to use it a lot because I can just leave it connected between the laptop and the screen, and record with a single press of the button. The MP4 files have been readable everywhere I have tried.

Good for beginners, although not as powerful as a normal HD PVR. Also, faulty ArcSoft Showbiz.

I bought the latest version of this device since the Nintendo Switch only supports HDMi (so I can confirm it works for the Switch and Wii U as well), and my HD PVR lacks an HDMi port for recording.

Works well

Great solution for capturing RGB content. Only gripe is that it limits capture files to 2GB each, so you need to stitch them together if you want anything longer than, say, 15-20 minutes of run time. Fortunately FFmpg is a great solution for this, and it’s free.

It is excellent and captures in 1080p with no problems. So far I have tried it with Xbox one, Xbox 360 and ps4. With the ps4 make sure thst you go into settings and uncheck “Enable HDCP” before you plug the HDMI into the capture card. Otherwise you’ll get a black screen. Hope this review was helpful and good luck with the YouTubes!!!

Good capture card for price.

The capture card came in as expected. All cords were present and the quality of the records are as expected for the price. The videos are recorded in 1080p 30fps. Inside the box were the capture card, the power cord, a very short HDMI cord, and a component input converter (useful to Xbox 360 if you don’t have the normal HDMI cord)and a small disc for an editing software. I did notice on what was a 2-3 second delay from the pushing of a button to the actual start. I did find it kinda annoying because I could never really pin down the exact moment of it starting because it would vary. Other than that the capture card is really nice and small enough to not take up lots of space.

Great for recording HD television too.

I’m a bit of a sports nut. My DVR has a bunch of HD recordings of special sporting events that I didn’t have the heart to delete because they were special to me (Derek Jeter’s last home game, the last game at the Nassau Coliseum, etc). Looking to possibly change cable providers to save on monthly bills, but I’ve been hesitant because I’ll lose these “moments”. The component hookup came in really handy because my cable box (Optimum) doesn’t allow you to “pass through” using HDMI. It’s really self intuitive and it works as advertised. Honestly wasn’t expecting this to work for my situation and went in with the mindset “hey it’s Amazon so I could just return it easily”. Was genuinely surprised how well it worked. Haven’t tried the included software yet.
