Best budget condenser microphone.

This is a legitimate review of a product I bought with my own money. Just putting this out there.

Looks Great In Some Places, Bad in Others. Sounds Wonderful

This is without a doubt the best and most fun to use microphone I have ever used. When I received this, I tested it on the Skype thing that lets you hear your own mic, and for some reason it sounded much better than reviews on here and YouTube lead me to believe. I do very much like this mic, but it does have a couple design flaws that are just really annoying.

I really love this little microphone

I really love this little microphone! It’s perfect for podcasting – easy to set up, plugs into the USB port, and has nice, clean sound. I was being a bit lazy about my show at the outset, recording on my laptop’s internal mic, but all the shows I listened to sounded so much nicer and I just had to take the plunge. My cohost heard the drastic change in my audio and decided to get her own soon after.

GREAT microphone for gaming and video editing!!!

Love, love, love it!!! I purchased this microphone when I upgraded from a laptop to a desktop gaming console (which did not have a built in microphone like my laptop did). I needed this microphone for gaming and video editing purposes. My main concern from other reviews was that I would not have a crystal clear voice unless I was very close to the microphone. This is NOT true. I sit comfortably in my chair, a good two feet away from the mic and people online say my voice sounds crystal clear!!! I even tested playing music in the background while talking and my friend could not hear any background noise! Amazing! For $49 you cannot beat it! Keep in mind this is the ICE version so this microphone only has 1 setting, unlike its big brother which has 3 mic settings (but costs an additional $20).

Great Microphone for Beginners at a Good Price

The Blue Snowball iCE is a great choice for those new to using microphones and for those on a budget. This microphone is about the size of an adult fist and comes with its own small stand. The Snowball is USB only, which makes it easy to connect and start using, though it does lack the extra options that XLR mics have. Since the Snowball is a condenser microphone, it is fairly sensitive to picking up sound at about 1 foot away and beyond. Background noise could be an issue, but I found the noise to be quite low compared to my speaking. As for the voice quality, it’s remarkably good at capturing voices at this price point with a clean and clear recording. Compared to something more high end like the Blue Yeti or Audio Technica AT2020, the Snowball is lacking in bass and tends to be quieter in volume, but the overall quality is still excellent. Throwing in a pop filter to stop any clipping from speaking is a good idea and is a useful extra to throw on.

Best quality at this price

This is pretty much the best place to start as far as mics are concerned. This is probably hands down one of the best “usb” mics for the money. A lot of people complain about the background noise, but this takes about 2 mins to correct in post. I’d recommend boom stand as the current stand isn’t tall enough for my liking..plus you’ll want to get it off of your desk in case you are typing or gaming while recording. A volume control knob and a mic jack would’ve been nice, but with the quality that you get for this price, it’s understandable. Overall if you are looking for a simple easy solution for quality audio, this will do just fine
