It’s never been easier to get high-quality sound for your voice and computer-based audio recordings. At home, the office-or anywhere for that matter-the Snowball ice USB microphone delivers audio quality that’s light years ahead of your computer’s built-in microphone. The custom cardioid condenser capsule offers crystal-clear audio for communicating, creating and recording. Snowball ice is Skype certified so you’re guaranteed to get great-sounding results, and comes ready to go with an adjustable desktop mic stand and USB cable. It even works automatically with your Mac or PC-no drivers required.
Best quality at this price

This is pretty much the best place to start as far as mics are concerned. This is probably hands down one of the best “usb” mics for the money. A lot of people complain about the background noise, but this takes about 2 mins to correct in post. I’d recommend boom stand as the current stand isn’t tall enough for my liking..plus you’ll want to get it off of your desk in case you are typing or gaming while recording. A volume control knob and a mic jack would’ve been nice, but with the quality that you get for this price, it’s understandable. Overall if you are looking for a simple easy solution for quality audio, this will do just fine
Best budget condenser microphone.

This is a legitimate review of a product I bought with my own money. Just putting this out there.
Great Upgrade From Gaming Headsets.

Great sound quality. I was going to use this for making videos, but actually ended up using it as a gaming mic.
Great for general use

I use this and the pop filter that most people buy with it, I did as well. I’m giving it 4 stars. It’s an awesome product for the price and can be used for a good number of general things. However, if you are a studio recording musician or someone who is an audiophile this might trigger you just a little when the sound recording starts getting on the louder side. I use this for recording covers of myself singing and it sounds great, until I start singing higher notes which requires more breath support and a louder sound then it gets a little fuzzy and doesn’t sound super professional. But, all in all if you are looking for a great mic for whatever for an awesome price than this is good for you!
A good mic for gaming and personal use

A good entry-level mic. If you are using it for just chatting, playing games, or your own personal use it works perfectly well. The amount of noise this thing can pick up is a bit overkill though, so I wouldn’t recommend using it in a noisy environment or if there will be a lot of background noise (seriously, it can pick up someone talking at normal volume two rooms away). Consider the Blue Snowball over the iCE if you want the lower decibel option and ability to switch to omnidirectional instead of cardioid. If you want a mic for more professional use go for a Yeti.
Just like the Blue Snowball non-iCE, just cheaper.

Pros: the sound quality is identical to the slightly more expensive Blue Snowball non-iCE microphone. If you want a microphone that sounds just like the Snowball but want to save like 10 bucks, go for it.

Purchased by/for my 15 year old son and he loves it. He uses it for Skype, online gaming with friends and for game demos he puts on YouTube. He says the sound is much better than what he was getting using his headset mic plus the Snowball does a better job of rejecting ambient noise. He has been using this microphone a ton for over a month now and I have heard zero complaints about it. Seems a little pricey for what, by all appearances, is a plastic toy. But it sure beats saving a few bucks and ending up with something you don’t like. Nice when you order something that actually lives up the the hype of the ratings and reviews.
