This is a legitimate review of a product I bought with my own money. Just putting this out there.

This is without a doubt the best and most fun to use microphone I have ever used. When I received this, I tested it on the Skype thing that lets you hear your own mic, and for some reason it sounded much better than reviews on here and YouTube lead me to believe. I do very much like this mic, but it does have a couple design flaws that are just really annoying.

I really love this little microphone

I really love this little microphone! It’s perfect for podcasting – easy to set up, plugs into the USB port, and has nice, clean sound. I was being a bit lazy about my show at the outset, recording on my laptop’s internal mic, but all the shows I listened to sounded so much nicer and I just had to take the plunge. My cohost heard the drastic change in my audio and decided to get her own soon after.

The Blue Snowball iCE is a great choice for those new to using microphones and for those on a budget. This microphone is about the size of an adult fist and comes with its own small stand. The Snowball is USB only, which makes it easy to connect and start using, though it does lack the extra options that XLR mics have. Since the Snowball is a condenser microphone, it is fairly sensitive to picking up sound at about 1 foot away and beyond. Background noise could be an issue, but I found the noise to be quite low compared to my speaking. As for the voice quality, it’s remarkably good at capturing voices at this price point with a clean and clear recording. Compared to something more high end like the Blue Yeti or Audio Technica AT2020, the Snowball is lacking in bass and tends to be quieter in volume, but the overall quality is still excellent. Throwing in a pop filter to stop any clipping from speaking is a good idea and is a useful extra to throw on.

The king of low budget mics

I’ve had this mic for over two years and it truly is the best quality mic you’re gonna find at this price. For vocals and guitar it shines the most, I recorded drums with it and it surprisingly turned out well after some post mixing. I’ve recorded many songs and even a full EP with this Mic and I’m more than happy with the results. Does it sound as full as the yeti or any mic over $100? Definitely not, but if you know how to use/mix it properly you can get pretty close. If you’re looking to do voice over, music, YouTube etc. and your budget is EXTREMELY limited as mine is, then look no further.

These are extremely worth.

I’ve been using this microphone for hours and all I can say is it was pretty much worth every penny. I’m gonna basically make this a subjective Pros and Cons review.
